The position is assigned to the junior professorship »Interdisciplinary Technology Transfer and Digitalization in Surgery«, held by Prof. Dr. Moritz Queisner and is part of Experimental Surgery at the Department of Surgery, CCM|CVK run by Prof. Dr. Igor Sauer as well as linked to the Cluster of Excellence »Matters of Activity«. You will work within a newly founded, interdisciplinary team working on new concepts for Surgery 4.0, for example, with regard to the topics of AI, robotics or extended reality and establishing the research area »Digital Surgery« at Charité.
What we are looking for:
- Successfully completed doctorate. Your field of study plays only a subordinate role, e.g., Design, Work Place Studies, Computer Science, Visual Studies, Digital Health, Psychology, Game Design or similar
- What counts is a convincing concept for the position in the context of digital surgery and/or biomedicine
- The concept can include approaches from technology, design, life sciences, social sciences or humanities and should show how you want to connect your topic to clinical research and practice
- Other important requirements include competencies to work in an interdisciplinary context and an interest in team collaboration
- Professional competencies in the fields of digital medicine, biomedicine, media technologies, digital health are an advantage
- Good knowledge of German and very good knowledge of English
- Open for collaborative and team-oriented work
