Maxie Schneider

Maxie Schneider is an architect and Research Associate. She studied Architecture in Dresden (Technical University) and Berlin (Berlin University of the Arts). She teaches in the Department of Textile and Surface Design at the weißensee school of art and design berlin. In the affiliated research facility DXM - Design Experiment Material she investigates adaptive facades through the integration of smart materials. In addition to new textile technologies for the architectural context, her particular focus is on the crossover of textile prototyping and computational tools. Within »Matters of Activity« she will be working on »Architectural Yarn«, bridging the research projects »Weaving« and »Material Form Function«.
