Virtual Materials
Matter has always appeared as a basic physical unit, in which objects are decomposed, out of which artifacts are created. If matter means primarily any homogeneity of structure, it is not necessarily physical per se. The view on virtual materials opens up a concept of material that can transcend and deceive the boundaries of the physical. Virtual materials can have properties that initially seem impossible – and they can be thought back from the properties to the structure and not vice versa. In this subproject, virtual materials will be investigated and made tangible.
