Johanna Hehemeyer-Cürten
Johanna Hehemeyer-Cürten is a fashion and material designer with a strong interest in biomaterials and material innovation.
She studied at the Maastricht Institute of Arts and the weissensee school of art and design berlin. She graduated with a master's in fashion design in 2021.
As an Associated Member in the projects Material Form Function and Weaving and in the research group Adaptive Fibrous Materials at the MPI for Colloids and Interfaces, she develops sustainable design strategies for tree bark with a focus on folding techniques and weaving.
