Boshra Shams

Boshra studied computer science and artificial intelligence during her bachelor and master degree. After graduating, she joined Forschungszentrum Jülich and focused on »Functional Connectivity Fingerprinting«. She used fMRI data to study individual differences in brain activity and connectivity, considering dynamics of brain networks.
She is currently doing her PhD at Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin and got involved in the project »Adaptive Digital Twin«.
Her research lies at the intersection of machine learning and neuroscience. She aims at exploiting cutting edge deep learning methods to advance the understanding of brain tumor impact on brain structure and function which facilitate patient-oriented diagnostic and prognostic tools in neuro-oncological surgery.
