Jessica Farmer

Jessica Farmer is currently completing her bachelor’s degree in Textile- and Surface Design at the weißensee school of art and design berlin (KHB), where she will begin her master’s degree in the fall.
After learning traditional textile techniques, such as weaving and silk screening, at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels, she came to Berlin to specialize in material research and design.
Her research interests include bio-inspired textile design, textiles in architecture, sustainable and circular practices in the textile industry as well as textile traditions and handicrafts.
Jessica will be working in the team of the professorship of »Material and Code« as part of the Cluster of Excellence »Matters of Activity«.
