Skander Hathroubi, PhD

Skander Hathroubi is a scientist, microbiologist and microbial biofilm researcher.
He studied Molecular and Cellular Biology at Sorbonne Université (France, 2010) and earned a PhD in Veterinary Science from Université de Montréal (Canada, 2016). He was a junior postdoc at University of California Santa Cruz, focusing on survival strategies of »Helicobacter pylori«, with a particular focus on biofilm composition and genes associated with this mode of growth.
Currently Skander was a Research Associate in the project Weaving, where he developed new tools to study morphogenetic movements in macrocolony biofilm, a well accessible model for active matter.
