José D. Cojal González, PhD
José D. Cojal González completed his PhD in Experimental Physics at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin in 2018, where he studied the formation of 2D and 3D self-assembled (macro)molecular organizations and its structural, optical and electronic properties.
José's research in the project Filtering focuses on the development of the new generation of molecular filters based on 2D materials and highly specific molecular systems activated by molecular recognition and dynamics. The methodology, which combines experimental measurements using scanning probe techniques and spectroscopy with computational simulations and data visualization, and the (filtered) scientific patterns created because of it are also a fundamental part of José's work.
