Sandra Bauer
Sandra Bauer studied Art History and Japanology at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Technische Universität Berlin and Hôsei University, Tokyo. During her studies, she worked as an assistant in the media center of the Institute for Art and Visual History of the HU Berlin. After her studies, she worked as a freelancer for the »Verein der Berliner Künstlerinnen 1867 e.V.«/ Akademie der Künste and the HU Berlin, where she was responsible for archival tasks and inventory.
From 2015 to 2018 Sandra Bauer worked as a Third-Party Funding Administrator in the Management Office of the Cluster of Excellence »Image Knowledge Gestaltung«.
At »Matters of Activity«, she has been coordinating all object-related processes at the interface between administration and science in addition to procurement and award procedures since 2019. She has been a certified registrar since 2023 thanks to training provided by HTW Berlin and Registrars Deutschland e.V. Since then, she has been increasingly concerned with questions of collection and object management and is particularly interested in the proper recording, sustainable storage and future provision of research objects.
