Franziska Wegener

Franziska Wegener studied European Ethnology, German Literature, and Film Studies in Berlin and Istanbul. She completed her graduate degree in European Ethnology at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin in 2015. Her Master’s thesis, titled »Making Colonial History Audible« dealt with historical representations in the German Historical Museum and with the medium Audioguide as a form of extra-institutional intervention.
From 2015–2018 Franziska supported the Management Office of the Cluster of Excellence »Image Knowledge Gestaltung« in the field of Early Career Support and Publications.
At »Matters of Activity«, Franziska is primarily responsible for Early Career Support. She coordinates the development and implementation of the Cluster's structured doctoral program and is the contact person for all questions relating to postdoctoral training. Since August 2019, she additionally has been part of the Clusters Science Communication-Team.
