Prof. Dr. Sabine Thümmler

Sabine Thümmler is Art Historian and Director of the Museum of Decorative Arts Berlin. Previously she was curator at the Museumslandschaft Hessen Kassel for the collections Angewandte Kunst, Deutsches Tapetenmuseum, and Schlossmuseen. She has been involved in various exhibitions and investigated the furnishing and decoration of the castles at Kassel under the reign of King Jérôme, fashion around 1800, as well as the porcelain gallery at Kassel.
Her research focuses on interiors, wallpapers, fashion, porcelain, and design. Currently she works on the collection of classical modernism and Bauhaus.
