Prof. Dr. Christian Kassung

Christian Kassung has been professor of Cultural Techniques and History of Knowledge at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin since 2006. He is Associate Director at the Hermann von Helmholtz Center for Cultural Techniques and Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, HU Berlin.
His main field of research is the history of knowledge and cultural history of the natural sciences, history and praxis of technical media, and non-hegemonial knowledge structures. His recent Cluster research included the material based culture and analogue simulation practices.
At »Matters of Activity« Christian is Principal Investigator in research units Practices, project Filtering, and Structures, project Object Space Agency.
