Claudia Kudinova
Claudia Kudinova is an art and visual historian with a focus on the Post-War Avant-Garde and Contemporary Art. Since 2019 she has been managing the Galerie Volker Diehl for Contemporary Art based in Berlin.
In her PhD thesis, supervised by Prof. Dr. Claudia Blümle, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, she researches on the work of the artist Hal Busse between 1950 and 1960, focusing on color in its interplay of representation and presentation as well as matter and phenomenon. Through the research on Hal Busse's pictorial strategies Kudinova aims to expand the research on the German Post-War Avant-Garde and to render its specific artistic relations visible and comprehensible in new contexts. The PhD project is funded by the Gerda Henkel Stiftung and is part of the MoA’s doctoral program, as part of the project Object Space Agency.
