We are currently looking for a Student Research Assistant (start January 2025, duration until 31 December 2025, 40h per month) for the research group »Architectural Yarns«. Apply now!

Field of Activity

• Research assistance in close collaboration with the researchers of the Material Form Function, Architectural Yarns project, EXC Matters of Activity
• Experimental prototyping in coordination with the project team on different scales
• Documentation and preparation of processes and results in written and visual form
• Support in the organisation and implementation of meetings and events
• Support with administrative processes and tasks

Requirements

• Team-oriented colleague with high own motivation
• Experience with transdisciplinary work at the interface of design and science

• Practical skills in experimental design and realisation processes of textile and non-textile structures

• Good organisational and communication skills with project team, partners and companies

• Practical skills in experimental design and realization processes of textile and non-textile structures, and the ability to prototype independently in the Experimental Studio and workshop setting of the »Design Lab«

• Confident handling of digital tools

• Very good written and spoken English
