Residency at Kyushu University
Congratulations to Kathrin Linkersdorff
We are delighted to announce that our Associate Member Kathrin Linkersdorff has been invited as an artist-in-residence at the Faculty of Design at Kyushu University, Japan, as part of the research project »Museums, Nature, and Art: The Reorganization of Knowledge and Its Visualization«, funded by the Kuma Science Engineering and Culture Promotional Foundation. During her residency, which will take place from September to December 2026, Kathrin will develop new artwork, explore new forms of knowledge production and visualization involving art, and teach students. She will be working in collaboration with researchers and faculty members of the Kyushu University Museum and the Bio Food Lab. The interdisciplinary project explores the relationships between museums, nature, artistic practice, and forms of knowledge production and visualization.
In addition to her artistic research and production, she will also contribute to the university’s academic program through a public artist talk as well as lectures and workshops with students. The residency aims to foster dialogue across art, science, and design, creating new perspectives through collaborative research and experimentation.
Congratulations to Kathrin Linkersdorff on this exciting invitation — we wish continued inspiration and success for the residency and the collaborations ahead!
