Questions For Our Time. Architecture Theory Today
Wolfgang Schäffner Contributes To Conference at TU Berlin
How can architecture theory shape our future in the age of artificial intelligence? On July 3, 2026, from 9.00 am to 9.00 pm, the international conference »Questions for our Time: Architecture Theory Today« will take place at TU Berlin to explore this very question. Celebrating the 100th birthday of O. M. Ungers, the conference aims to raise questions about the role, impact, and methods of architectural theory in research, teaching, and practice under both changing and constant conditions. Three sections will be held to discuss the topics of Theory and Critical Theory, Theory between Past and Present, and Theory between AI and Architectural Intelligence.
Within this final section, Cluster Director Wolfgang Schäffner will speak from 4.45 pm to 6.45 pm in the Forum of the Architecture Building at Ernst-Reuter-Platz. The panel is titled »Theory between AI and Architectural Intelligence« and will be moderated by Klaus Platzgummer.
No prior registration is required. The conference will also be streamed live.
