Materials of the Future
Public Event with Cluster Co-Director Claudia Mareis, and Architects Anupama Kundoo and Regula Lüscher
How can innovative materials revolutionize our built environment? The fourth edition of our BUA OPEN SPACE salon series invites you to explore this question. Novel materials are more than just technical innovations - they are the key to future-proof architecture, sustainable urban development, and climate- and resource-friendly construction.
This evening, leading experts from materials research, architecture, and urban development will present their perspectives on the built world of tomorrow directly in the air traffic control tower of the former Tempelhof Airport:
Prof. Dr. Claudia Mareis (Co-Speaker of the Berlin Cluster of Excellence Matters of Activity)
Prof. Dr. Anupama Kundoo (Anupama Kundoo architects, TU Berlin) and
Regula Lüscher (architect, urban planner and former Senate Building Director and State Secretary for Urban Development in Berlin).
It will be an evening full of inspiration, lively discussions, and a relaxed finale with drinks and snacks. We will also be showcasing innovative materials on site - thanks to cooperation with the Matters of Activity Cluster of Excellence and Bauhaus Earth.
The talks will be held in English. Please register now, as spots are limited.
