Photo Books Presented at Miss Read 2024

This year's edition of »Miss Read« (The Berlin Art Book Fair & Festival) will also include the students' amazing photobooks which they created in the seminar »Das Fotobuch. Theorie und Praxis« co-lead by MoA Member Mareike Stoll and photographer Andreas Rost at weißensee school of art and design berlin. The resulting books explore memories of the perfect summer, images of forests and trees, but also trace residues of violence, genocide, and oppression, to name only a few. They all celebrate the photobook as an art form and artistic medium. Please save the date and see the contributors at the Haus der Kulturen der Welt between October 11-13, 2024. Also this year, the fair continues its shared exploration into Decolonizing Art Book Fairs, and they are committed to nurturing spaces and communities that take into consideration the richness and breadth of publishing from around the world.
