Maxie Schneider
Maxie Schneider ist Architektin und wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin. Sie studierte Architektur in Dresden (Technische Universität) und Berlin (Universität der Künste Berlin). Sie lehrt im Fachbereich Textil- und Flächendesign an der weißensee kunsthochschule berlin. In der angegliederten Forschungseinrichtung DXM - Design Experiment Material erforscht sie adaptive Fassaden durch die Integration von Smart Materials. Neben neuen textilen Technologien für den architektonischen Kontext liegt ihr besonderer Fokus auf dem Crossover von textilem Prototyping und computergestützten Werkzeugen. Im Rahmen von »Matters of Activity« wird sie an »Architectural Yarn«, in Verbindung mit den Forschungsprojekten »Weaving« und »Material Form Funktion« arbeiten.
