Prof. Dr. Dr. hc. mult. Jürgen Sieck
Jürgen Sieck absolvierte sein Studium der Mathematik an der Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, wo er später in Informatik promovierte. Heute ist er Leiter der Forschungsgruppe »Informations- und Kommunikationsanwendungen« (INKA) und Professor für Informatik mit den Schwerpunkten Mobile Application, Augmented und Virtual Reality an der Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft Berlin (HTW).
Im Jahr 2013 erhielt er die Ehrendoktorwürde der Odessa National Polytechnic University, Ukraine.
Von 2013-2018 war er Principal Investigator des Exzellenzclusters »Bild Wissen Gestaltung« an der Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. Seit 2015 ist er auch als Professor für Informatik an der Namibia University of Science and Technology in Windhoek tätig. Im April 2018 erhielt er die Ehrendoktorwürde der Ternopil National Economic University, Ukraine.
Seit 2019 ist Jürgen Sieck Principal Investigator des Exzellenzclusters »Matters of Activity. Image Space Material«.
